Over £3,000 raised from the 2014 Shaun Lee Johnstone Race

I usually have a total from Shaun’s run much sooner than this but we have been waiting for one last amount to arrive, so thought it was worth waiting before we shared the grand total.

We had 147 entries to the Shaun Lee Johnstone 2014 race and the amount raised for Brain Tumour Research after expenses, was a whopping £3,174.90 (with Gift Aid still to be added). So a massive thank you to you all for your support.

A NOTE FOR YOUR DIARY – This years race will be on the 18th October 2015.

2013 Shaun Lee Johnstone Multi-Terrain 10

A great race today, the sun was shinning and a full rainbow straddled the course. Wonderful to see so many familiar faces, old friends and to welcome new runners to the race. Check back over the next week for a full race review and photographs.  But we thought you would want to see the results as soon as possible.

Congratulations to the winners for setting new course records.  2013 Full race results

Love to run – Love your feet – Boroughbridge Chiropody

A big thank you to our sponsors who’s support is invaluable.   Many of our sponsors will be there on the day and some of them will be entering the race. So give them a cheer.
With only 25 days to go and race day fast approaching, we thought you might be particularly interested to hear about those sponsors with businesses related to sport. So a warm welcome to Boroughbridge Chiropody. We all know how important it is as a runner to look after our feet. Julie Moorhouse owner of Boroughbridge Chiropody is a keen runner and treats many local sports enthusiasts and runners whether it be for routine check ups or fitting and supplying insoles.   My new Footbalance insoles from Boroughbridge Chiropody made such a difference to my running. My knee and glute pain vanished within a couple of weeks of wearing them and I am now able to run Ultra Marathons pain free. It gave me reassurance that I was seeing a specialist but also someone who understood the life of a runner! Have a chat with Jullie or pop in to her clinic at 4 Fishergate Boroughbridge YO51 9AL you will be amazed at the difference they can make. – Sian Foster
